The Perfect Stop-over

You’ll have a view over the sea and out to the Vestfjords and all services are really close. You’ll be staying in comfortable beds that are made up. It is the perfect stop-over for the more sociable traveler. We also welcome groups which would have the benefit of having the whole hostel to them selves if large enough.

Practical Private Twin Rooms

Our rooms are practical, equipped with 90cm wide bunk beds. Mattresses are of a good quality. Each room has a closet, desk and a small sink. Towels are included.

All rooms have bunk-beds in them. Beds are made up and towels are included. All rooms are for max 2 people. Prices are per room not per bed.

In the shared small kitchen you will find everything you need to make a simple meal. There is a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, pots, pans and all necessary utensils and cutlery to make a nice meal. Coffee, tea and coffee filters are provided.

Bathrooms and showers are shared. Shower-soap is included.

There is a washing machine in the hostel which our guests can use free of charge, detergent is provided.

We offer free wi-fi and there is a TV in the shared lounge with access to Netflix (for guests to use their own Netflix account), couple of TV-channels and internet.

Guest information

You can use everything inside the hostel.

For other services such as groceries, restaurants, gas-station, swimming pool, pharmacy, ATM, post office and other practical things – you will find all of these in Hvammstangi village, which is the village Hvammstangi hostel is placed in.

It is also beneficial to visit our tourist information centre if you are interested in knowing more about the area or if you’d like to book a sight-seeing tour, for example to see some seals.

Check-in/out and communication

There is a self-check in process to the hostel. You’ll get all the information you need to check in a few days before you arrive. Your host is close by and always available through info@stayinhvammstangi.is, Whatsapp and phone (+354 860 7700), ready to assist.
