General Policy

Each cottage is for max 4 people. There will be pillows and duvet for 4 people in the cottage upon arrival. Please note that part of the bedding is kept in the sleeping sofa storage. Children under 12 years old can stay for free in the cottage if existing beds, pillows and duvets are used. Extra pillows and duvets can be provided for a small fee, if requested. Requests can be sent to info@stayinhvammstangi.is. We can provide a baby cot for toddlers/children under 2 years old. There isn’t space for an extra bed in the cottage.

After making a reservation you’ll get a confirmation email to the email address listed in the reservation process. Please check you spam folder should it look like you didn’t get it, else contact us at info@stayinhvammstangi.is to verify that your reservation was received.

Cancellation

No fees will be charged for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking.

You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 7 days prior to arrival. Please contact us at info@stayinhvammstangi.is to request cancellation. The listed payment card will be charged 7 days before your arrival for the total price of your stay. When your payment is confirmed you’ll receive all the necessary information to be able to check your self in.

No refunds are made within the 7 days prior to arrival.

Check-in / Check-out

You can check in at any time after 2pm on the arrival date. There is a self-check-in process, keys are in a lock-box on site.
Check out is at noon on the departure date. Please leave the keys preferably in the lock-box or on the counter inside the cottage.

Late check-out will cause you to get charged a penalty fee.

House rules

The tenant (incl. tenant’s guests), is responsible for the cottage and all equipment during the rental period. Any damages inflicted by the tenant will have to be compensated for. Let us know if anything happens.

Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited inside the cottage. We charge penalty fee of 200euro to the listed payment card, should there be a sign of smoking inside. Please consider other guests if you choose to smoke outside, the smoke may bother others.

Unnecessary noise/disturbance is prohibited from 11pm to 8am.

Please do not drive or park on the grass, please use the parking lot. We do provide free parking very close to the cottages.

Please leave the cottage in good order by washing tableware and remove all trash. There is a trash-container on the parking lot. Please put your plastic bottles and cans in the recycling container.
